My husband, Luke, and I (Meredith) have been married since 2023, and we have been together since 2021. Luke is currently working on his degree in leadership ministry online at Grace Christian University. I have a B.S. in Psychology and minor in Biology from Georgia College and State University. Some of our very favorite combined hobbies are: disc golfing, going on outdoor walks with our pups, eating lots of popcorn while watching new movies together, and traveling to new cities for weekend trips! 

Since the very beginning of our relationship, we have felt a strong calling on our lives to strive towards full time ministry. Local Church Canton has been our church home since we first met (and Luke even before then), and we have truly grown and learned how to be ministry leaders from all of our great role models there. We began serving as kids’ ministry volunteers in 2021, and eventually grew to take on major leadership / director roles in our church. I am the current Kids’ Min Director at LCC, and Luke has been on the leadership team in many capacities, including: Youth curriculum leader, Young Adult Ministry leader, small group leader, and so much more. This connection with our church home truly made us want to seek out ways to make ministry our full time occupation. 

Last spring, our lead pastor actually had a ministry meeting with Steve Lowe, after which he quickly gave us a phone call. He told us that after all of our years of waiting and seeking out our true calling, that he felt he had found a wonderful place for us to check out! We immediately reached out to Steve and fell in love with the ministry that is The Joy House. Luke and I feel so grateful and blessed to serve in a way that utilizes the talents the Lord gifted us with, our college degrees, and our hearts for the next generation. We can’t wait to see the way that Jesus works in each family that seeks out this ministry!
