We had a successful Pickens County Chamber Business After Hours event on Tuesday, February 19th at our Girl’s Home, despite the stormy weather. We are grateful for our partners that came particularly to show support for our ministry. Your presence was very much appreciated! We were thankful for the many chamber members who attended and were able to better familiarize themselves with our ministry. President and CEO of the Pickens County Chamber, Amberle Johnson Godfrey, stated “wow, just wow” in response to seeing the girl’s home first hand. Our Executive Director, Steve Lowe, was able to give a brief overview of what we have to share with the community through our Residential Program and Community Counseling Center. Many attendees took a tour of the girl’s home, with our girl’s shining as tour guides. We enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared and provided by SharpTop Cove – A Young Life Camp and a wonderful time of fellowship together.
