Welcome Kathryn Bracher

Here is what Steve Lowe, our executive Director, had to say regarding Kathryn joining our ministry.

“We are super excited to welcome Katheryn to our team as our office administrator/intake coordinator for our counseling center. She has a heart committed to Christ and a love and concern for others that is a great fit for the warm, inviting and family atmosphere that is part of our counseling center. Those calling and seeking help in our counseling center will find a compassionate, understanding and empathetic voice in Kathryn who can get them connected with one of our counselors.”

Please read Kathryn’s bio below.

Kathryn joined our team as the administrator and intake coordinator of the counseling center in 2021. Her heart for the Lord and for discipleship have led her to The Joy House. She is delighted to be working with Bill, Abby and Heather who all faithfully seek the Lord as they counsel people.

Katheryn graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. She spent two years student-teaching as Clarke Middle and Morgan County Middle School during her undergrad. Her experience in schools gave her a big heart for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs for those that she worked with. After college she began an internship program with Camp Highland; a place in Ellijay , GA where she spent four summers as a counselor and support staff member. Under the mentor-ship of her boss, Deb, Katheryn discovered a new depth of love and authority from the Lord that has deeply enriched her relationship with Him.  Eager to learn more about God, she engaged in a Fellows program in Florida to learn more about incorporating faith into all aspects of her life through church, RTS classes, discipleship, and an internship at Geneva School.

In addition to one-on one time with people, Kathryn participating in any outdoor activities, reading her Bible and journaling in coffee shops, or listening to music. She cherishes the tie she had with her family and loves getting laugh with her friends. She is so grateful to become part of The Joy House family, and she is hopeful of what the Lord will continue to do through the ministry.
