At our Annual Banquet in 2016, we announced our 15th Anniversary Comprehensive Campaign which consisted of two phases that included the development of a new girl’s home, increasing our operating reserve, additional land purchase, counseling center staff expansion, additional campus projects and construction of a new administration building and counseling center. The Joy House is committed to a philosophy of debt-free development, which requires much patience and trust in the Lord’s timing and the Holy Spirit’s moving on his people to give. In the summer of 2017, we decided to focus on raising funds to construct a new girl’s home, launching the “Second Home for Second Chances” campaign. We are excited to announce that this portion of our 15th Anniversary Campaign has been funded. Since 2016, approximately 160 individuals, businesses and organizations have answered the call to give and donated specifically towards our 15th Anniversary Campaign. We are immensely grateful. Our Executive Director, Steve Lowe, shared his excitement upon reaching this goal stating “I am incredibly humbled and amazed by both God’s continued faithfulness and that of our partners who have helped us reach this milestone. His hand was so clearly evident in how we reached this goal. Please join us in praise and celebration of the faithful God we serve. There is truly nothing impossible for Him! I am looking forward to moving ahead with our second girl’s home and The Joy House being able to serve more teen girls and families in crisis.” Many people have joined our ministry in our efforts to raise funds by giving, sharing about our ministry with others, and praying for God’s will to be done. We are so thankful for these individuals and pray that God will bless them for their faith and that many will be able to join us when we break ground for our 2nd girl’s home. God is so good.
